Sharjah 24: His Excellency Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence (SCD), stated that SCD this year celebrates the International Day for Civil Defence, under the slogan “Civil Defence ... a partner in protecting the national economy”.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, His Excellency Al Naqbi added that SCD has provided a safe and encouraging environment for investment, along with the sustainability for environmental, economic and social buildings. This is reflected in the high indicators for attracting companies operating in the civil defence services sector by 28% during the past year 2020 compared to 2019, in addition to a 56% decrease in the percentage of fires in the Emirate compared to 2019.
The Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence (SCD) continued that the preventive awareness in society was because SCD has achieved a very advanced rate in the level of awareness among the public, which reduced these recurring incidents.
His Excellency Colonel Al Naqbi called on all segments of society to preserve the environment, as previously achieved on past years, to provide a safe and encouraging environment to support the national economy.
