During the programme
Sharjah 24: Lieutenant-Colonel Mohammed bin Haider, Acting Head of Al Buhaira Police Station, affirmed the keenness of Sharjah Police General Command to enhance security awareness among all members of the public.
Such endeavour falls into raising awareness of some negative phenomena in order to strengthen preventive measures to limit theft from vehicle, in line with the strategic objective of the Ministry of Interior, aimed at enhancing security and safety.

This came during "Aman Ya Beladi" programme, prepared by the Sharjah Police's Media and Public Relations Department, and broadcast live on Sharjah Radio every Sunday morning, to discuss a number of diverse topics through its various stations.

Bin Haider touched on the classification of the types of vehicle theft, as it is divided into theft of property from vehicles, theft of parts of vehicles, or theft of vehicles, explaining the special reasons for each one of these types.

Bin Haider stressed that negligence in taking preventive measures to preserve vehicles and their properties results in serious consequences, leading to an increase in the incidence of thefts, calling on community members to abide by preventive measures and cooperate with security authorities, to limit behaviours that create conditions for theft.

Bin Haider pointed out the community members to the need to avoid leaving valuables and important documents inside the vehicle when leaving it, as these collectibles are considered the first target of vehicle thieves.

In a telephone interview, Mohammed Taqi, Acting Head of Parking Services Department in Sharjah Municipality, spoke about the campaign that it launched in cooperation with Sharjah Police, which aims to closing random dirt squares. Such efforts are carried out after conducting a comprehensive study, and through specific procedures to ensure that the square does not negatively affect the residents of the area.
