Sharjah 24: In various cities across the Eastern Region of the Emirate of Sharjah, the Eastern Region Police Department (ERPD), represented by the Kalba Comprehensive Police Station, launched the "Aman" initiative with the goal of educating the public about precautionary and preventive measures to combat the Corona virus (Covid 19). The Khor Fakkan Social Services Department, the Department of Preventive Medicine, and the Future Generations Volunteers collaborate on this project.
Colonel Dr. Ali Al Kai Al Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police Department, emphasized Sharjah Police's unwavering commitment to promoting volunteerism and supporting projects that further the strategic goal of encouraging a culture of volunteering and positive engagement.

"Through the "Aman" initiative, we hope to enlist volunteers in training programmes and workshops that focus on teamwork and police participation in carrying out tasks and duties to raise awareness towards society by adhering to preventive measures to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus," Al-Hamoudi said.

The initiative's partners, the Social Services Department and the Preventive Medicine Department, will provide an explanation of the volunteer work system and inform members of the Community Police of the measures that the volunteer must take to protect himself and others, according to Lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Walid Khamis Al-Yamahi, Head of the Kalba Comprehensive Police Station.
