Sharjah 24: His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police (SP), affirmed Sharjah Police’s keenness, in cooperation with its strategic partners, to develop a well-studied plan to resolve the traffic jams in Khorfakkan during the blessed Eid Al Adha.
The General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Eastern Region Police Department, organised, on Wednesday, a dialogue session with the participation of a number of government departments, to discuss the traffic jams in Khorfakkan on holidays, which are expected during the blessed Eid Al Adha.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, His Excellency indicated that the session witnessed the participation of a number of government departments and competent authorities, including the Municipal Council, Khorfakkan Municipality, the Department of town Planning and Survey, the Roads and Transport Authority, and Rafid.
His Excellency pointed out that Khorfakkan has become a distinct tourist destination, which is evident by the demand for visitors from all over the country and abroad, especially during holidays.
Concluding his statement, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police noted that the session came out with a set of important recommendations from the participants, which would contribute to developing solutions to deal with the expected congestion in the city.
