Sharjah24: The activities and events of the 8th "Health & Tourism 2021" campaign, which is organised by the Health Promotion Department (HPD) at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, are currently underway in a number of the most famous tourist attractions in Sharjah and through social media platforms.
Since its launch on 13 December, the campaign is witnessing broad participation from various groups of community members.
The campaign, which is being held under the theme "My Immunity", is featuring awareness programs to raise health awareness among members of society, especially with regard to health practices that help boost the immune system.
On the sideline of its participation in the 10th Hamriyah Festival for Children, the Health Promotion Department organised educational programs, in addition to a virtual lecture on ways to enhance and maintain immunity.
The department has also published 10 awareness posts and videos on its social media sites about the most important measures to be taken to prevent diseases.
"The spread of the "Health & Tourism 2021" campaign programs on social networking sites gave thousands of followers an opportunity to interact with the awareness lectures, information, and tips provided," said Iman Rashid Saif, Director, Health Promotion Department. "The campaign also seeks to spotlight the tourist attractions in the Emirate of Sharjah, whether by publishing pictures and videos for tourism sites that receive the attention of the followers on social media, organising an array of cultural events, or going live from a number of tourist destinations in Sharjah, such as Sharjah National Park, Zero 6 Mall, in addition to screening a series of educational movies on Al Jada Movies so as to reach various segments of society.
The "Health and Tourism 2021" Campaign will continue until December 31. It includes a wide spectrum of innovative events for different ages and nationalities, such as virtual workshops and recreational activities. The campaign's competitions will also continue on social media, using the hashtag "#My Immunity", with many prizes and gifts awarded to the winners.
