Municipal Affairs concludes “Dawahi 10"

Sharjah 24: The Municipal Affairs, Agriculture, and Livestock Department concluded its participation in the activities of the 10th edition of Dawahi Festival, organised by the Department of Districts and Villages Affairs (DVA) of the Government of Sharjah, from December 9-31, 2021, at in Al Qarayen Park 5 in Sharjah, organising many workshops and events to attract the public.
The Municipal Affairs, Agriculture, and Livestock Department participation, in this event, is a real opportunity to introduce the public to the role played by the Department in the development of agriculture and livestock to achieve self-sufficiency and contribute to food security, which aims at sustaining and upgrading all resources to improve agricultural and livestock production.

The department’s participation saw a series of workshops and events that were implemented throughout the festival period and by a group of specialists, including agricultural workshops, introductory workshops for children on the types of animals, waste recycling workshops, and drawing workshops for children in addition to presenting daily competitions targeting all age groups with the aim of educating the public on agricultural and animal information. 

His Excellency Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tunaiji, Head of the Municipal Affairs, Agriculture, and Livestock Department, stressed that participating in “Dawahi Festival 10” is an opportunity to interact with different society groups who frequent the festival. 

His Excellency Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tunaiji indicated that the Municipal Affairs, Agriculture, and Livestock Department is keen to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to participate in events and develop awareness programmes for all segments of society.
