Sharjah 24 – WAM: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) continues to provide winter aid to people affected by harsh conditions in 26 countries.
Over the past couple of days, the ERC distributed winter aid comprising heating equipment, blankets, winter clothes, food and children’s supplies to nearly 20,000 thousand families in Uzbekistan.

This aid is part of the ERC’s winter aid campaign that was launched upon the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC, to support those affected by harsh weather conditions.

The ERC has recently intensified its relief efforts, to fulfil the directives of the UAE’s leadership to ease the suffering of people affected by severe weather.

ERC delegations are present in countries where the initiative has been implemented, reaching out to refugees and displaced persons in all target areas.

The ERC stressed that its response has been timely and effective in terms of addressing the effects of harsh weather conditions on refugees, noting that it has coordinated its field relief efforts with local partners.
