Sharjah 24: In the presence of Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of Sharjah Ruler’s Office Kalba; The University of Sharjah (UoS)’s Kalba Branch, held the activities of the Sustainability and Innovation Forum, with the participation of a number of government departments.
Dr. Ali Obaid Al Zaabi, Deputy Assistant Chancellor of the University of Sharjah (UoS) for Branch Affairs, confirmed that the university pays most attention to initiatives and events related to innovation and sustainability as an approach that the wise leadership is keen to promote and support in all sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah.
He explained that the forum, which was organised at the Khor Kalba Mangrove Centre, included an innovation exhibition with the participation of a number of government and educational institutions. The forum included discussion of 4 papers on sustainability in the sectors of economy, environment, health, and education.
The forum’s activities were attended by His Excellency Khalid Al Midfa, Chairman of the Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, His Excellency Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah, His Excellency Dr. Suleiman Sarhan Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Kalba City, Engineer Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, Director of the Municipality, Lamia Rashid Al Zaabi, Director of Kalba Hospital, and a number of officials.
