Sharjah24: The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) has announced its participation in the 29th edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 9 to 12 May, and sheds light on the future of the travel and tourism industry. The global event out of its firm commitment to promoting the most prominent current and future projects in the emirate.
His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of SCTDA, stressed that the “Arabian Travel Market” exhibition comes in an important transitional phase that the global tourism sector is currently witnessing, with a return to normalcy following the almost complete removal of the pandemic restrictions on travel and aviation, which requires the presence of a prominent platform such as this event to highlight the developments of the sector locally and globally, and to review the visions and future plans for tourism.
Her Excellency Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah, said that the Arabian Travel Market, the leading global exhibition for the internal and external tourism sector in the Middle East, represents an opportunity to showcase the unique tourist destinations and attractions that the Emirate of Sharjah offers, especially the reserves and sites that it combines tourism and nature, which is becoming increasingly popular with tourists in the region and the world.
On the participation, His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Airport Authority, said: “At the Sharjah Airport Authority, through our participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2022, we are keen to enhance and complement the efforts made by the Emirate of Sharjah to revitalize the tourism sector, and highlight our successful experience in dealing and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
