The Da’ama training course, being a new free services for the elderly in the Emirate of Sharjah, aims to qualify social care providers from domestic workers, raising their awareness on how to take care of older persons over the age of 60 years, ensuring to provide the best services to them.
Kholoud Al-Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Community Service Sector, stated that the general objective of the training course is to qualify social care providers from domestic workers or concerned employees from governmental, private or civil institutions whose work tasks require providing care for the elderly. She added that the 3- day training program is implemented in cooperation with a company specialised in the field of rehabilitation and training, through several languages, highlighting the importance of such programs to address social needs and maximize the success of health care plans.
