Sharjah24: His Excellency Abdullah Khalifa Yaroof Al Sabousi, Chairman of Department of Islamic Affairs, announced the approval of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the department's plan to build and renovate 100 mosques in the emirate, at a cost of AED 800 million. This plan includes the construction of 60 new mosques and the renovation of 40 mosques in various cities and regions of the emirate.
In a phone interview on the "Direct Line" program broadcasted on Sharjah Radio and Television, the chairman of Department of Islamic Affairs revealed that all mosques are expected to be completed within the next two years.
