Sharjah24: His Excellency Dr. Saif Jumaa Al-Dahiri, Director of the National Operations Center at the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, emphasized during the closing day of the Regional Forum on Data and Community Development the pivotal role data plays in crisis and disaster management. He stated that the availability and analysis of data are essential components for preventing and effectively responding to natural disasters.
Dr. Saif Jumaa Al Dahiri reiterated the importance of data in forecasting natural disasters and enhancing response effectiveness during his participation in the session titled “Predictions and Solutions: Natural Disasters Contained by Data” at the Regional Forum on Data and Community Development, organized by the Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah. He noted that data is the fundamental pillar for preventing crises and allowing for quick and efficient recovery.
In a special statement to "Sharjah 24," Dr. Al-Dahiri mentioned that having accurate data and analyzing it in a timely manner not only prepares us to face disasters but also enables us to develop proactive plans that minimize their impacts and expedite recovery processes. Data has evolved from being merely a supportive tool to becoming the essential foundation for making sound decisions, whether in emergency management or crisis recovery.
