Sharjah 24 – WAM: President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs, officially launched the “Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme” in Uzbekistan. The event also marked the unveiling of the “Five Million Uzbek AI Prompters Initiative.”

Forums highlight strategic partnership

The launch took place during the Uzbekistan Zero Bureaucracy Forum and the Uzbekistan Artificial Intelligence Forum in Tashkent. Organised jointly by the UAE and Uzbek governments, the events showcased their strategic partnership for government modernisation. Ministers and officials from both countries participated, sharing best practices in reducing bureaucracy and adopting artificial intelligence solutions in government operations.

Zero Bureaucracy Programme inspired by UAE model

Uzbekistan’s Zero Bureaucracy Programme draws inspiration from the UAE’s successful model in improving government efficiency and citizen satisfaction. The initiative aims to simplify procedures, reduce administrative routines, enhance innovation and agility within government institutions, and positively impact economic and social development.

Five million Uzbek AI prompters initiative

During the Artificial Intelligence Forum, the “Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers” initiative was launched. The program aims to train five million people in AI prompt engineering over three years, fostering innovation, accelerating economic growth, and strengthening government capabilities for the future.

Interactive sessions explored AI’s role in learning, skills development, personalized education solutions, and technological applications across vital sectors.

Longstanding UAE-Uzbekistan cooperation

The UAE and Uzbekistan established their strategic partnership in government modernisation in 2019, renewed in 2021 for six years. The 2023–2026 phase focuses on 14 pillars, including industrial and social development, digital transformation, health, AI, statistics, urban planning, and leadership development, supporting Uzbekistan’s Vision 2040 through global best practices.
