Hind Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Pensions Sector and Head of the Zero Bureaucracy Team at GPSSA, explained that the service overhaul demonstrates the Authority’s commitment to redesigning and integrating government procedures. She mentioned that the changes simplify service requirements, eliminate unnecessary steps, and decrease completion times—aligning with the core principles of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme.
Al Suwaidi emphasised that enhanced digital integration with government entities enables GPSSA to streamline processes, consolidate similar procedures, exchange data proactively, and rely on stored records instead of repeatedly requesting documents.
The “Ma’ashi” platform now fully automates contribution payments. Data collection, contribution calculation, and invoice generation are handled digitally, which reduces errors and delays. Proactive notifications assist customers in avoiding fines and keeping accurate financial records.
Employers now receive automatic notifications when a new Emirati employee joins, with pre-filled data requiring minimal review. Required documents have been reduced from seven to one, and service completion time has decreased from over 100 hours to just 40.36 hours.
Employee data is now received automatically from federal HR authorities. Only one document is required — the medical fitness certificate. Completion time has been reduced from 50.23 hours to 18.1 hours.
All documents and visits have been removed. Submission now takes only 12 minutes, as the system automatically calculates entitlements and generates end-of-service requests without requiring manual signatures or forms.
For widows — the most common group — required documents have been reduced from six to two, and visits from three to one. Completion time has been halved to 9.2 hours.
Required documents have been reduced from seven to five, with in-person visits entirely eliminated. The service completion time has decreased from 100 to 80 hours.
The “Ma’ashi” platform now issues certificates instantly, requiring no documents and only two fields to be completed. It takes five minutes instead of two hours.
The service is now fully proactive through intelligent government integration. Documents and visits have been eliminated, with submission time reduced to 10 minutes and completion achieved within five working days.
GPSSA affirmed that these advancements stem from strategic alliances and extensive digital transformation initiatives across the “Ma’ashi” platform. The Authority reiterated its commitment to providing intelligent, proactive, and customer-centric services that address the evolving needs of the UAE community.
