Verstappen clinches pole for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Sharjah 24: Red Bull’s Max Verstappen secured pole position for tomorrow’s Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after setting the fastest time in qualifying at Yas Marina Circuit.

Qualifying performance

Verstappen clocked a time of 1:22.207, edging out McLaren’s Lando Norris, who posted a time of 1:22.408.

Championship standings

Lando Norris leads Verstappen by 12 points in the overall standings, while his McLaren teammate, Australian Oscar Piastri, is 16 points ahead in the championship race.
