The three-day forum gathered 80 members from the eight Sharjah Youth centres across the emirate and was held at the Rubu’ Qarn Life Skills Centre. It offered participants new opportunities for self-discovery and personal growth through practical experiences that went beyond traditional learning, focusing on real-life challenges, teamwork, and applications.
Participants engaged in a variety of physical activities, group challenges, and field tasks that mimicked everyday situations. These experiences improved communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, while also encouraging members to disconnect from the digital world and participate in meaningful human interaction. Activities included an interactive first aid workshop, volunteer efforts such as planting seedlings around the campsite, and a barbecue in a natural setting that fostered cooperation and coexistence.
The forum showcased a series of sports and team-oriented challenges, including box racing, walking boards, the human wheel, tug of war, ball maze, gold mine, ball collection, and compass navigation, all aimed at promoting self-challenge and teamwork.
An inspiring session titled 'How to be an Adventurer' was delivered by Khalid Al Nakhi, Director of the Sharjah Capability Development (Tatweer), and Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club. They shared personal experiences from climbing Mount Elbrus and Mount Kilimanjaro, emphasising values of courage, determination, and collaboration.
The third Sharjah Youth Centres Forum reaffirms the foundation’s commitment to nurturing a generation equipped with skills and values, capable of confidently contributing to the future.
