Sharjah Marine Club's board praises Formula 1 team

Sharjah 24: The Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, chaired by Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, held its regular meeting to review strategic plans and recent achievements. The board commended the Sharjah Formula 1 powerboat team for its strong performance in the final round of the World Championship, stressing that the results reflect the continued support of Sharjah’s leadership and the integrated efforts of the club’s technical, administrative and organisational teams.

Members praised the Sharjah powerboat that competed in the championship, noting that it was designed and manufactured entirely in the club’s workshops by Emirati hands to international standards. The board described the project as a successful investment in national talent and a clear example of Sharjah’s commitment to innovation, local manufacturing and developing a sustainable marine sports industry.

Preparations and future direction

The meeting included a review of the minutes and recommendations of the previous session, as well as discussions on the club’s financial and media reports and key performance indicators. The board also examined preparations for the third edition of the Khor Fakkan Marine Festival, scheduled for December 26, 2025, emphasising the importance of delivering the event to the highest organisational standards to strengthen Khor Fakkan’s position as a leading maritime, tourism, and sports destination. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to supporting club teams and programs and achieving further successes that enhance Sharjah's standing at regional and international levels.
