Sharjah24: Sharjah will host the second edition of the Sharjah Literature Festival (SLF) from 5 to 11 January 2026, featuring a week-long programme that brings together literature, art, music, and community engagement. Organised by the Emirates Publishers Association in collaboration with the Sharjah Book Authority, the festival will take place at University City Hall Square under the theme “A Community Woven by Tales”.

The festival aims to strengthen Sharjah’s role as a regional hub for culture and knowledge by showcasing Emirati literary voices and creative industries and by building connections between generations through storytelling and dialogue.

Prominent Emirati figures and diverse programme

The festival welcomes a distinguished group of Emirati writers, poets, artists, media professionals, chefs, musicians and creatives, alongside cultural discussions, poetry evenings, musical performances, theatre shows, and interactive storytelling sessions for children.

Book fair, workshops and creative markets

A dedicated book fair will feature 42 Emirati publishing houses, showcasing a wide range of local titles for all age groups. Visitors can also explore innovative local products inspired by Emirati heritage, and attend workshops in visual arts, AI creativity, calligraphy, content creation, photography, culinary arts and more.
