The tournament was held on Saturday afternoon at the Sharjah World Padel Academy, marking the fourth time the emirate has hosted the event. It featured 36 renowned international football stars and legends competing in a vibrant sporting atmosphere.
Ali Al-Aref, CEO of World Padel Academy, said the fourth edition stood out for its high level of participation and strong audience turnout, with fans gathering to watch some of football’s most iconic figures compete.
Speaking to Sharjah 24, Al-Aref explained that the tournament forms part of Football Stars Week, an initiative aimed at strengthening Sharjah’s position as a sports tourism destination. He noted that padel’s growing global popularity has attracted football legends from around the world to take part in the event.
