Sharjah 24 – WAM: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with His Excellency Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Focus on Comprehensive Economic Partnership

The discussions were held within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and explored opportunities to expand cooperation in investment, economic partnerships, renewable energy, and sustainability.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week as a platform

The meeting, held at the Zayed National Museum, coincided with Prime Minister Kobakhidze’s working visit to the UAE for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. Both leaders emphasized the event’s role in promoting dialogue, exchanging ideas, and accelerating the transition to a sustainable and inclusive future.

Strengthening UAE–Georgia relations

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and His Excellency Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation, particularly in sustainability, and highlighted opportunities to further develop UAE–Georgia relations.

Regional and international discussions

The leaders also exchanged views on key regional and global matters, underscoring peace and security as vital foundations for growth and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and several UAE ministers and senior officials.
