Dr Ahmed Hassan Al Hammoudi, Director of Customer Services at Sharjah International Airport, said the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen fraternal ties and promote values of friendship and mutual appreciation between the two brotherly nations. Upon arrival, the airport greeted passengers from Kuwait with welcoming messages and presented them with commemorative gifts.
Dr Al Hammoudi explained that the initiative comes in line with the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to celebrate the deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Kuwait under the theme, "The UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever." He noted that the initiative highlights the strong historical and social bonds that unite the two countries.
As part of the programme, Sharjah International Airport ensured a special reception for flights arriving from Kuwait, including a ceremonial water salute upon landing, a dedicated passport stamp bearing the initiative’s slogan, and the distribution of souvenirs to passengers. The airport is also supporting efforts to increase the number of flights between the UAE and Kuwait, further boosting travel movement and exchange between the two countries.
