Dr Ahmed Abdulwahab Al Awadhi, Kuwait’s Minister of Health and Acting Minister of Information and Culture, praised the strong model of Arab cooperation between the media sectors of Kuwait and the UAE. He commended the Dubai Press Club for strengthening institutional ties and enabling professional integration and expertise exchange.
Mona Ghanem AlMarri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of DPC, described Kuwaiti media as a key regional player and noted the long-established professional relationships between media professionals in both countries. Maryam Al Mulla, Director of DPC, added that the celebration reinforces the Club’s commitment to dialogue and cooperation with Kuwait.
The UAE delegation visited several Kuwaiti media institutions, including the Ministry of Information. The visit included signing a Memorandum of Understanding between Dubai Media Incorporated and Kuwait Television to enhance joint media production, exchange expertise, and develop high-quality content.
A panel discussion titled ‘Media and the Voice of Youth: The UAE and Kuwait’ explored youth participation in media and ways to empower them in digital content creation. The celebration also featured a musical operetta dedicated to Kuwait, with lyrics by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reflecting the deep historical and cultural ties between the two nations.
The UAE delegation included more than 100 senior media leaders, artists, producers, editors-in-chief, writers, journalists, content creators, and influencers, underscoring the scale of the UAE’s media leadership and the strength of UAE–Kuwait media collaboration.
