The initiative is part of the UAE’s broader humanitarian framework to alleviate civilian suffering and address essential needs amid the difficult conditions in the enclave.
A total of 16 charitable and humanitarian organisations from across the UAE’s emirates contributed to preparing the vessel’s cargo, which exceeds 7,300 tonnes of aid supplies. The shipment includes food items, shelter materials, and medical supplies, aimed at supporting food security and strengthening the urgent humanitarian response for affected families in Gaza.
Food assistance comprises food parcels, supplies for community kitchens, and dates, while shelter aid includes Eid clothing, relief kits, tents, and essential household items to help ensure dignified living conditions.
On the medical front, the ship carries a range of equipment and supplies, including ventilators, medical tables and beds, medical chairs, protective masks, and air purification devices. These are intended to bolster healthcare services and enhance the capacity of medical facilities to respond to urgent needs.
The “Umm Al Emarat” aid ship is the 13th vessel dispatched by the UAE to the Gaza Strip as part of a continuous maritime humanitarian bridge, reflecting the country’s sustained commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during this critical period.
