It was held at Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park, where officials, business figures, and academics came together for an open discussion on how sustainability can be realistically applied within the creative sector.
A session entitled “Business Development and Sustainability in Sharjah” formed the heart of the evening, with speakers exchanging views on how companies can expand without losing sight of long-term responsibility and what that means in practical terms for Sharjah’s growing creative landscape.
Hussain Al Mahmoudi, Chief Executive of Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park, said the majlis serves as a platform for dialogue between decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and scholars, offering space to exchange ideas and explore practical paths forward. Shurooq, in collaboration with Invest in Sharjah, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), and the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, organised the event.
In remarks to "Sharjah 24", Al Mahmoudi said the gathering presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors, adding that the goal is to turn challenges facing creative industries into viable and forward-looking investment opportunities.
