Sharjah 24 – AFP: Manchester United extended their positive run under manager Michael Carrick with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday in the 28th round of the English Premier League.

United recover from early deficit

After falling behind to an early goal from French defender Maxence Lacroix in the 4th minute, Manchester United turned the game around. Lacroix was sent off in the 56th minute for a foul on Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha inside the penalty area, earning United a penalty.

Fernandes and Šeško secure victory

Bruno Fernandes converted the penalty in the 57th minute, leveling the score. Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško added the second goal in the 65th minute to seal the win.

Unbeaten streak continues

United’s unbeaten run now spans seven games, including six wins, bringing their total to 51 points in third place. They are level on points with second-placed Aston Villa, who lost 0-2 to Wolverhampton on Friday.
