Two injured after debris falls at KNPC

Sharjah24 - WAM: Ghanem Al-Otaibi, official spokesperson for Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) and Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), confirmed that debris fell at the Al-Ahmadi refinery early Monday, causing minor injuries to two workers.

Immediate response and medical treatment

Al-Otaibi stated that the incident was handled immediately in line with established safety and security protocols. The injured employees were transported to Al-Adan Hospital, where they are receiving treatment and remain in stable condition under medical observation.

Operations continue without disruption

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Otaibi confirmed that the refinery’s production and operational activities were not affected. Emergency teams promptly activated the rapid response plan and implemented all necessary measures to ensure the safety of personnel and protect the facility.

No material damage reported

Al-Otaibi further confirmed that no material damage was recorded and that the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery continues to operate at full capacity, with the safety and wellbeing of workers remaining the highest priority.
