Air defence systems also detected 117 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), of which 113 were intercepted, while four drones fell within UAE territory.
Since the beginning of the blatant Iranian aggression, the Ministry reported that 238 ballistic missiles have been detected, of which 221 were destroyed, while 15 fell into the sea and two landed within UAE territory.
A total of 1,422 Iranian UAVs have also been detected, with 1,342 intercepted, while 80 drones fell within UAE territory. In addition, eight cruise missiles were detected and destroyed.
The attacks resulted in four deaths involving nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, and caused 112 moderate and minor injuries among individuals of various nationalities, including Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, and Turkish nationals.
The Ministry of Defence affirmed that it remains fully prepared and ready to address any threats and will firmly oppose any attempt to compromise the country’s security.
It emphasised its dedication to protecting the UAE’s sovereignty, security, and stability, whilst safeguarding its national interests and capabilities.
