UAE affirms respect for Iranian community, denies claims

Sharjah24-WAM: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has affirmed that the United Arab Emirates hosts a respected and valued Iranian community, describing it as an essential part of the country’s social fabric that enhances its diversity and openness.

In an official statement, the Ministry emphasised that the UAE is home to more than 200 nationalities, reflecting its longstanding commitment to promoting coexistence, tolerance, and inclusivity, as well as its dedication to all residents living within the country.

The Ministry also addressed circulating inaccurate media claims regarding residency conditions for the Iranian community, emphasising that the UAE reassures all residents that its institutional approach is based on well-established procedures and approved frameworks that safeguard the well-being and security of all members of society without exception.

It further highlighted the UAE’s dedication to uphold a safe and stable environment based on the rule of law, safeguarding the rights of all residents and reinforcing the country’s core values of tolerance and coexistence.
