Qatar Emir, Macron discuss ceasefire, regional stability

The Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported that during the call, they discussed the latest regional and international developments, particularly the ceasefire agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and international efforts to reinforce the truce.

The call also discussed the political and economic effects of the truce, with both sides emphasising the need for a comprehensive agreement that ensures a lasting ceasefire involving all parties, especially considering its influence on global energy markets and international maritime traffic, and the importance of securing maritime routes and maintaining freedom of navigation.

They also reviewed developments in the Republic of Lebanon, with both sides emphasising the importance of de-escalation, containing tensions, and intensifying diplomatic efforts to uphold regional peace.
