Sharjah 24 – WAM: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received senior officials, where several national matters were reviewed as part of ongoing efforts to advance the Kingdom’s progress and meet citizens’ aspirations.

Praise for government leadership and development efforts

According to the Bahrain News Agency, King Hamad expressed pride in the achievements of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in advancing government work and driving development across various sectors.

Focus on security amid regional tensions

Addressing the repercussions of the war and attacks launched by Iran against the Kingdom, the King said Bahrain is overcoming current challenges through the efficiency of its defence, security and civil defence forces, the unity of its citizens, and effective government management in meeting essential needs and responding to emergencies.

Comprehensive measures to tackle challenges

King Hamad said the state will move forward firmly in addressing the consequences of the war, assigning the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to implement comprehensive and decisive measures, including programmes to address gaps in defence and economic sectors.

Legal action and national security directives

The King also ordered the immediate initiation of legal measures against those who have undermined national security, alongside a review of cases related to Bahraini citizenship, with appropriate legal procedures to be applied.

Call for vigilance and national responsibility

He stressed that the situation remains sensitive and requires strong commitment to national responsibility, emphasising that safeguarding the country allows no room for negligence or failure in duty.
