Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Morais said: “We had better time to prepare compared to previous periods, and we are returning to the league against a strong opponent. The match represents an important challenge for us and for our ambitions in the competition.”
He added: “It is a league match and one of the better fixtures in the competition. We have focused on improving our performance, both with and without the ball, in preparation for this match.
The Portuguese coach highlighted that the real test lies in translating training work onto the pitch: “The test is to see how much we've improved as a team and how we'll play in the match.” That is the real challenge.”
He also acknowledged the competitive nature of the fixture: “Al Wahda and Sharjah are both strong league teams with a rivalry, but football unites people.”
Morais stated that there are only a few absences and expressed confidence in the team's performance.
Morais confirmed that Sharjah is not facing major selection issues.
“We do not have many absences at the moment. The only confirmed absence is Caio, who is still in recovery.”
“There are some minor doubts over Igor’s fitness, and we will assess him, while Majed Hassan will also miss the game due to injury.”

Sharjah midfielder Majed Rashid echoed his coach’s confidence, insisting the team is well prepared for the fixture.
“The match is important, as the coach said, and our preparation has been excellent. We had enough time to train and for players to recover,” he said.
“Al Wahda are always a difficult opponent, but we are aiming for points to improve our position in the table.”
