The announcement reflects the leadership’s commitment to guaranteeing universal access to high-quality healthcare services for all citizens and to developing an advanced healthcare sector based on preventive care, digital transformation, public health, innovation, and the long-term sustainability of health services.
The system seeks to establish a comprehensive healthcare model that improves the efficiency and sustainability of health services, ensures the optimal use of healthcare resources, and strengthens the sector’s preparedness in line with international best practices and the highest global standards. It also reaffirms that human health remains a key national priority and a central pillar of the UAE’s comprehensive development journey.
Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, stated that the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reflect a national vision that places human health and quality of life at the core of the UAE’s development agenda. He noted that the new system marks a strategic step towards building a more efficient, flexible, and future-ready national healthcare model.
He added that the UAE continues to strengthen its healthcare systems on the principles of prevention, sustainability, and innovation, while ensuring the delivery of comprehensive healthcare services to citizens according to the highest international standards.
Al Sayegh explained that the UAE’s healthcare system is founded on an integrated federal and local framework supported by advanced infrastructure, interconnected digital health platforms, and continuous investment aimed at improving service quality and expanding accessibility across all emirates.
He further stressed that the new system supports the UAE’s vision of enhancing the resilience of the healthcare sector, achieving seamless integration across all levels of healthcare services, and delivering sustainable long-term health outcomes for citizens throughout all stages of life.
