Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi establishes Sharjah Fashion Council

Sharjah24: Her Highness Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Sharjah Creative Quarter (SCQ), has issued an administrative decision establishing the “Sharjah Fashion Council,” to be followed by the launch and establishment of “Sharjah Fashion Days,” as a specialised platform that brings together designers, creatives, and experts from within the UAE and abroad, contributing to the development of the fashion ecosystem and strengthening its presence at both the regional and international levels.

The decision reflects the vision of SCQ, which aims to support industries and attract talents, brands, and modern practices in the field of fashion.

According to the decision, the Sharjah Fashion Council aims to support and develop the fashion sector by launching specialised initiatives and programmes that contribute to building a sustainable creative environment, in addition to establishing and strengthening regional and international partnerships in the fields of design and fashion. The council will also work to provide educational and training platforms that support emerging and professional designers while enhancing innovation and creative production in this vital sector.

As part of its responsibilities, the Sharjah Fashion Council will develop strategies and policies related to design and fashion, oversee the implementation of relevant programmes and initiatives, and organise specialised exhibitions, fashion shows, and events, further reinforcing Sharjah’s position as a leading regional hub for cultural industries.
