SP launches 'Community Police Awareness Camp for Children'

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police General Command (SP) represented by the Community Police Department, launched the "Community Police Awareness Camp for Children", through the visual communication technology, in line with the preventive and precautionary measures for the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event comes from four to eight of April, with the aim of to raising awareness of children, in order to benefit from the school vacation during the spring break.

Lt. Col. Ahmed Al Marri, Director of the Community Police Department at Sharjah Police, confirmed that the camp aims to enhance security and safety awareness for school students of both genders by providing a number of security lectures in a scientific manner and approach, which are appropriate to different age groups.

Lt. Col. Al-Marri also indicated that the camp also includes a set of workshops through which the Sharjah Police aims to develop children's skills and increase their cultural, intellectual and practical knowledge, in various areas that are compatible with their ages.

The Director of the Community Police Department added that the timing of the lectures was designed in a way that takes into account the participation of the largest number of students, as they are presented for an hour a day throughout the days of the camp from 12 to 1 in the afternoon.
