Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Youth (SY), which is affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, will launch the 14th edition of the Youth Futsal League for the junior and youth categories, between the ages of 13 and 18, during the period from February 5 to April 2, 2023, under the supervision of the Futsal Executive Committee.
The league comes out of the keenness of SY to provide its members in an attractive competitive environment, discover their sports talents and nurture them through training to raise their level of physical fitness to reach the highest levels of sports excellence, which qualifies them to join sports clubs and national teams.
The league targets 320 players from the eight SY centres spread across the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, representing 16 teams, including 8 junior teams, and 8 youth teams, as they participate in the first stage matches of 48 matches.
It is held in Al Dhaid and Meilha Youth Centres, on Sunday of every week, from four in the afternoon until seven in the evening, in preparation for the quarter-final matches and the final rounds, which include 16 matches.
It is worth noting that the Sharjah Youth Futsal League has benefited nearly 4,500 young men and women since its inception in 2009, including more than 200 affiliates, who joined the national teams through the portal of various sports clubs in the country and the Emirate of Sharjah.
