UAE, Korean Presidents witness exchange of memoranda, agreements

Sharjah 24 – WAM: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Korean President Lee Jae-myung Tuesday witnessed the exchange of multiple memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and agreements aimed at strengthening their Strategic Partnership during his state visit to the UAE.

Official ceremony at Qasr Al Watan

The exchange took place during an official ceremony held at Qasr Al Watan, highlighting the commitment of both nations to deepen cooperation across various sectors.

Key agreements and MOUs

The agreements exchanged included:

1. Strategic Artificial Intelligence cooperation framework

Exchanged by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak and Bae Kyung-hoon, to promote collaboration in AI.

2. Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence

MOUs on cooperation in AI were exchanged by the same officials, emphasizing technological advancement.

3. UAE Space Agency and Korea AeroSpace Administration collaboration

A project agreement between UAESA and KASA was signed by Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi and Bae Kyung-hoon, focused on space exploration.

4. Biohealth cooperation

MOUs on comprehensive biohealth cooperation were exchanged between Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri and Oh Yu-Kyoung.

5. UAE-Korea economic cooperation committee

An agreement on the administration and operation of this committee was signed by Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri and Kim Jung-kwan.

6. Intellectual property arrangement

A cooperation arrangement was signed by Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri and Kim Yong-sun to strengthen intellectual property protection.

7. Partnership in nuclear energy, AI, and global markets

Agreements to enhance collaboration in nuclear energy, artificial intelligence, and market cooperation were exchanged between Mohamed Al Hammadi and Kim Dong-cheol.
