UAE Embassy in Tehran marks 54th Eid Al Etihad

Sharjah 24 – WAM: The UAE Embassy in Tehran organised an official ceremony to celebrate the 54th Eid Al Etihad, attended by senior Iranian officials and members of the diplomatic community.

High-level attendance

The event was graced by Farzaneh Sadegh, Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ambassador highlights strong UAE-Iran ties

Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, UAE Ambassador to Iran, emphasised the deep historical and civilizational connections between the UAE and Iran. He noted that bilateral relations are longstanding and built on trade, cultural exchange, and enduring people-to-people connections.

Economic cooperation and regional partnership

Ambassador Belhoul highlighted the economic relationship as a model for constructive regional cooperation and stressed opportunities to further strengthen the partnership within a framework of good neighborliness and mutual respect, reflecting the UAE’s approach based on dialogue and purposeful diplomacy.

Iran affirms commitment to partnership

Farzaneh Sadegh reaffirmed that the historical, geographic, and cultural ties between the two countries provide a solid basis for bilateral relations. She expressed Iran’s interest in expanding economic cooperation and exploring new areas of partnership across various sectors.

Cultural celebration

The ceremony concluded with a traditional Emirati folk performance of “Al-Ayyala,” adding a distinctive cultural touch that was warmly received by attendees.
