Fadila Al Maaini: Union is the nation’s greatest achievement

Sharjah24: Fadila Al Maaini, Chairperson of the UAE Journalists Association, said the 54th Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) carries cherished meanings that highlight a pivotal national milestone and a journey of unity launched on 2 December 1971 under the founding leaders.

She affirmed that, over more than five decades, the Union has proven to be the greatest achievement in the UAE’s modern history, forming the solid foundation for the country’s comprehensive progress.

A success story recognised worldwide
Speaking to Sharjah 24 during the association’s Eid Al Etihad celebration, Al Maaini noted that marking this occasion is a tribute to an exceptional success story in which the UAE established itself as a global development model built on a bold vision, a diversified economy, advanced infrastructure and the empowerment of people as the nation’s true wealth. She added that the UAE strengthened its regional and international presence through wise policies that support stability and promote cooperation and partnership worldwide.

Renewing commitment to the Union’s legacy
She stressed that this national occasion is a moment to renew commitment to safeguarding the gains of the Union and contributing to the development drive led by the nation’s leadership with a forward-looking vision for the next fifty years. The spirit of the Union, she said, will remain a source of strength and unity, inspiring efforts to build a more prosperous future for generations to come.
