Sharjah 24 – WAM: The Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Cup, dedicated to purebred Arabian horses, will begin on Sunday at Sharjah Longines Racecourse, featuring 95 horses competing in six races.

The first two races

The opening race is for purebred Arabian horses, categorised by age and past results, covering a distance of 1000 meters with 16 horses participating. The second race is for maiden purebred Arabian horses over 1200 meters, featuring 16 fillies and colts.

Horses bred in the UAE

The third race is for purebred Arabian horses bred in the UAE, covering 1700 meters with 16 horses competing. The fourth race, a handicap for UAE-bred purebred Arabian horses, spans 2000 meters with 16 participants.

The fifth and sixth races

The fifth race, the His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Cup for purebred Arabian horses, is a handicap race over 1200 meters with 15 horses competing. The day concludes with the sixth race, a handicap for thoroughbred horses over 1700 meters with 16 horses participating.
