Noura Al Jasmi hails UAE team at Badminton World Cup

Sharjah 24: Her Excellency Noura Al Jasmi, President of the UAE Badminton Federation, announced the launch of the first day of the Badminton World Cup—running until December 14—and voiced her pride in the impressive performance of the UAE men’s and women’s national teams.

She expressed her deep gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for his generous support of the tournament, which is being hosted in Khorfakkan for the first time.

Al Jasmi also thanked the Sharjah Sports Council for its significant efforts in ensuring the successful organisation of the championship and in hosting 96 players from across the globe.

Speaking to Sharjah 24, the President of the UAE Badminton Federation highlighted the strong showing of the UAE national team on the opening day, noting that their early victories reflect the players’ readiness and competitive spirit in this major international event.
