Set against the spectacular backdrop of Khorfakkan's coastline, the competition brings together swimming, cycling, and running across several categories, with around 300 athletes—men and women of varying ages—expected to take part. Entry remains open via the official link.
Racing gets underway at six o'clock in the morning in the junior category before the programme moves through the Olympic, Sprint—for both individuals and teams—and Super Sprint distances. The medals ceremony and trophy presentations are scheduled for half past eight.
Bakhit Saeed Al Qurs, Director of Sports and Community Events at Sharjah Sports Council, described the triathlon as a firmly established cornerstone of the council's annual calendar, pointing to the consistently strong response it draws from young athletes and amateur competitors alike.
"This event has earned a place in our programme through its success," Al Qurs said. "Taking place on the picturesque shores of Khorfakkan, this event promotes sports and positions the city as a destination and highlights the attractions of our coastline for visitors from the region."
He extended an open invitation to anyone with a taste for competition and physical challenge to get involved and make their mark on this year's edition.
