Sharjah 24 – AFP: AC Milan snatched a dramatic 1-1 draw at Fiorentina, missing the chance to move level with Inter Milan at the top of Serie A ahead of their rivals’ clash with Napoli.

Nkunku strikes at the death

Christopher Nkunku fired home Milan’s equaliser in the 90th minute at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, denying Fiorentina what would have been only their third win of a difficult season.

Fiorentina’s lead undone late

The hosts had looked on course for victory after Pietro Comuzzo headed Fiorentina in front in the 66th minute. Nkunku’s late goal, however, left the Tuscans stuck on 14 points in 18th place.

Title race implications
