Morais said at a pre-match press conference: "I am not focusing directly on the match currently, as it is still two days away. Our attention is currently on how best to prepare under limited time. Over the next two days, we will work to have the team fully ready to face Al Bataeh."
The Portuguese coach expressed enthusiasm about returning to Sharjah Stadium, stating: "It is wonderful to be playing at our stadium again and in front of our supporters after several weeks away. We will be thrilled to feel their support at home, as it gives the team a significant morale boost."
Morais emphasized that the team’s preparation does not change based on the opponent’s league position: "Our method of preparation does not vary from one match to another. We follow a clear routine every time, because every team has its strengths. When you compete at the level we aspire to, there are no easy matches."
Highlighting the strength of his squad, Morais added: "We pay attention to absent players, but the player on the pitch is always the best available option. We have a group of more than 20 players, all capable of coping with any match."
