Sharjah 24 – WAM: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned of rough seas and dust-raising winds tomorrow, Thursday, in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Active to occasionally strong winds are expected to stir up dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility in some exposed areas. Light rain is also forecast in certain regions, along with a drop in temperatures.

Weather conditions forecast

The NCM predicts that Thursday will be clear to partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times over some coastal and northern areas. There is a chance of light rain, accompanied by a decrease in temperatures across the country.

Reduced visibility due to dusty winds

In its daily weather bulletin, the NCM explained that winds will be light to moderate, becoming active to strong at times, especially over the sea. The winds, blowing from the southwest to northwest at speeds of 15 to 30 km/h and reaching up to 50 km/h, will stir up dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility in exposed areas.

Rough seas and tidal patterns

In the Arabian Gulf, waves will be moderate to rough, becoming very rough at times during the night. The first high tide is expected at 09:45, with the first low tide at 18:22.

In the Sea of Oman, waves will be moderate, turning rough at night. The first high tide will occur at 21:16, and the second at 07:16, while the first low tide is expected at 13:41, and the second at 02:49.
