Sharjah24: Abdullah Sultan Al Dah, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Eleventh Sharjah International Cycling Tour, announced that the event will start on 23 January, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Hamid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council. The press conference, held at the Sharjah Falconers Club, outlined details of the 11th Sharjah International Cycling Tour.

The event unveiled preparations for the upcoming race, which will begin on 23 January at Flag Island and run through five stages across prominent tourist destinations in the emirate.

Strong participation and international presence

Abdullah Sultan Al Dah, Chairman of the Organising Committee, confirmed that the tour will run from 23 to 27 January, starting on its opening day from Flag Island and concluding at the Wheat Farm. The race will cover a total distance of 503 kilometres across five stages, with 126 cyclists representing 27 professional teams and national squads.

Al Dah expressed his deep appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his continued patronage and support of the event, and praised the efforts of the Sharjah Sports Council, chaired by Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Hamid Al Qasimi, in organising the tour and highlighting new destinations across the emirate.

Official jerseys and sponsors

The tour will feature a range of official jerseys sponsored by local entities, including the yellow jersey, sponsored by the Sharjah Police General Headquarters, for the fastest overall time; the green jersey, sponsored by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, for the points classification; the red jersey, sponsored by Sharjah Municipality, for the best climber; the white jersey, sponsored by Sharjah Sports TV Channel, for the best young rider; and the UAE Flag jersey, sponsored by the Sharjah Sports Council, for the best-performing Emirati cyclist.
