Sharjah 24: Attention turns on Friday to the start of match week 13, the final round of the first half of the ADNOC Pro League season, which will be played over three days and is expected to bring an intense contest for the ‘Winter Champion’ title, as well as crucial positions in the top four.

The spotlight will be on Saturday’s highly anticipated clash at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, where leaders Al Ain, with 30 points, host third-placed Al Wahda on 25. Al Ain are seeking to wrap up the winter title, while Al Wahda will be aiming to hold their ground and narrow the gap at the top.

At the same time, Zabeel Stadium will stage another key encounter as fourth-placed Al Wasl, on 22 points, face visitors Al Jazira, who sit fifth with 21. The match carries added importance as both sides look to break their points deadlock and edge closer to the leading positions.

Second-placed Shabab Al Ahli, with 29 points, will keep the pressure on the summit when they meet Dibba Al Fujairah on Monday at Rashid Stadium, hoping to continue their strong run of form.

The rest of the round features Khorfakkan against Al Nasr on Saturday at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium, followed by two Sunday.
