Al Gharafa faces Sharjah in UAE–Qatar Super Cup opener

Sharjah 24: The third edition of the UAE–Qatar Super Cup gets under way on Thursday in Doha, with eight clubs from the UAE and Qatar competing for four titles across the tournament.

The opening sees Al Gharafa host Sharjah in the Super Cup match at Thani bin Jassim Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00pm UAE time.

Other matches in the competition will see Al Wahda take on Al Duhail at Al Nahyan Stadium on Friday in the Challenge Shield, while Al Sadd meet Shabab Al Ahli at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday in the Super Shield.

The programme concludes on Sunday, with Al Ahli facing Al Jazira at Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium in the Challenge Cup.

Sharjah’s team arrived in Doha on Wednesday to begin preparations for the opening match. The team will hold their main training session later today under the supervision of head coach José Morais as they finalise their preparation for the tournament opener.
