Sharjah 24 – AFP: Real Madrid secured three valuable points with a 2-0 victory over Villarreal in the 21st round of the Spanish La Liga, temporarily moving to the top of the standings.

Mbappé stars with match-winning brace

French star Kylian Mbappé led Real Madrid to victory, scoring both goals at the Estadio de la Cerámica in the 47th minute and deep into stoppage time (90+4) from the penalty spot.

Top scorer extends his lead

With his brace, Mbappé strengthened his position at the top of the La Liga scorers’ chart, reaching 21 goals in 20 league matches. He has now scored 34 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions this season.
