Four penalties as Khorfakkan edge Al Dhafra 3–2

Sharjah24: Khorfakkan claimed all three points at Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium after overcoming Al Dhafra in a dramatic contest marked by spot-kick drama at both ends. The result lifts Khorfakkan to seventh place on 18 points, while Al Dhafra remain ninth with 16 points.

Ailton Felipe opened the scoring early from the penalty spot in the fifth minute before Tarik Tissoudali doubled the advantage, also from twelve yards, in the 24th minute. Al Dhafra responded through Karim El Berkaoui, who converted a penalty on 36 minutes to reduce the deficit before the break.

The hosts drew level midway through the second half when Jobson Santos calmly dispatched another penalty in the 70th minute. However, Khorfakkan had the final say as Lourency Dou struck the decisive goal in the 84th minute to seal a hard-fought win.

The match underlined the fine margins in the ADNOC Pro League, with composure from the spot proving decisive on a night dominated by penalty drama.
