Gold gains 1.2% amid Dollar weakness

Sharjah24 - WAM: Gold prices climbed to their highest level in more than three weeks on Monday, supported by a decline in the US dollar.

Spot gold advanced 1.2 percent to $5,163.60 per ounce by 02:10 GMT, marking its strongest level in over three weeks. Meanwhile, US gold futures for April delivery increased 2 percent to $5,184.90.

Other precious metals also posted gains. Spot silver surged 3.1 percent to $87.10 per ounce, reaching a more than two-week high. Spot platinum rose 1.2 percent to $2,182.60 per ounce, while palladium edged up 0.5 percent to $1,753.75.
